How is the Trendyol commission calculated?

Accepted Answer

The Trendyol commission is found by multiplying your sale price by the commission rate: Commission amount = Sale price × (Commission rate ÷ 100). For example, on a 500 TL product a 20% commission rate equals 100 TL, leaving you a net earning of 400 TL. Because commission rates vary by category, campaign and your seller agreement, we recommend entering your own current rate into the calculator above; the starting rates shown are estimates only.

How do you find the marketplace net earning?

Net earning is found by subtracting the commission from the sale price: Net earning = Sale price − Commission amount. If VAT is also charged on the commission, you need to deduct that amount as well. What is desi (volumetric weight) and how is it calculated?

Desi is the measure of the volume a shipment occupies, converted into weight. Volumetric desi is calculated with the formula Volumetric desi = (Width × Length × Height) ÷ 3000, where the dimensions are in centimetres. Carriers set the fee based on whichever is greater: the calculated volumetric desi or the shipment's actual weight (kg). For example, a 30×20×15 cm box is (30×20×15) ÷ 3000 = 3 desi; if it weighs 2 kg, the shipping desi is taken as 3.

How is VAT calculated?

To add VAT: VAT amount = Amount × (VAT rate ÷ 100), VAT-inclusive amount = Amount + VAT. To separate VAT out of a VAT-inclusive amount: VAT-exclusive amount = Amount ÷ (1 + VAT rate ÷ 100), VAT amount = Inclusive amount − Exclusive amount. For example, adding 20% VAT to 1,000 TL gives 200 TL VAT and a total of 1,200 TL; and from a VAT-inclusive amount of 1,200 TL, an exclusive amount of 1,000 TL is separated out.

How do you calculate percentages?

To find the percentage of a number: Result = Number × (Percent ÷ 100). To find what percentage one number is of another: (Part ÷ Whole) × 100. For the percentage change between two values: ((New value − Old value) ÷ Old value) × 100. For example, 15% of 200 is 30.
