Volumetric desi = (Width × Length × Height) ÷ 3000, with the dimensions measured in centimetres. For example, for a 30×20×15 cm parcel, (30 × 20 × 15) ÷ 3000 = 3 desi. Some carriers may use a divisor other than 3000; we recommend confirming the divisor your carrier uses.

Is the shipping fee based on desi or on weight?

Carriers generally charge based on whichever is greater: the calculated volumetric desi or the shipment's actual weight (kg). For example, for a parcel with a volumetric desi of 3 and a weight of 2 kg, the billed desi is taken as 3.
