What you should know about the EDM Bilişim integration

The third field does not exist for everyone

Alongside the username and password, the EDM Bilişim setup shows a secret key field. It is filled in only if such a key is defined on your account; on most accounts it is not, and it stays empty. Hunting for a key that does not exist is a typical pause that stretches the setup for no reason.

The username and password are issued by EDM; you do not generate them yourself in a panel. The sender tax number field is optional too and is taken from the invoice data when left empty.

Corrections and expenses are in scope too

The EDM Bilişim connection is one of the few providers that goes beyond issuing documents. It issues e-Invoices and e-Archive documents and supports withholding; on top of that it can cancel an issued invoice and book deductions such as commission as expense invoices.

Those two extras change month end rather than daily work. You do not need to open a separate panel to correct a wrongly issued document, and you do not need to wait for a statement from your accountant to book commission expenses. Both stay inside the same flow.

The connection is set up with the API details the provider gives you; OAuth is not used. When you change those details you have to update the values on the connection too.
