Stock synchronization is keeping the stock quantity of the same product across all sales channels up to date from a single central source. In Stokzone, central stock is the single source: when a sale happens on one channel, the central stock is decremented and the change is sent to all connected channels. This reduces stock inconsistency across channels.

How it works

The stock sync engine runs these three steps for you automatically; a sale on one channel is reflected instantly across all connected channels.
1 · Single stock source
Central product stock is the single source of truth. All operations — including sales, returns, and bulk adjustments — change this central value; quantities held separately on channels never conflict with one another.
2 · Decrement stock on sale
When an order arrives from a channel, the system matches the order items to your products, decrements the central stock by the sold quantity, and marks the product as 'awaiting sync'. A cancellation/return adds the quantity back.
3 · Broadcast to all channels
A background job sends the updated central stock to all connected channels as an absolute quantity. Even if the same order is triggered again, the operation is idempotent; no double decrement occurs.

Starting stock tracking in a spreadsheet is not a mistake — most businesses start there and it works well up to a point. The problem is not the spreadsheet itself but three things that surface the moment you go from one channel to several:
Two people cannot open it at once
If someone in the warehouse is entering a count while you update prices, one overwrites the other. Even in shared versions, two writes to the same cell collide.
The multiplier grows with channels
Selling on three channels means every stock change has to be repeated in three panels. At five channels that becomes a job eating a real part of the day.
