The partner identifier field looks optional but is required on some endpoints. If you have it, filling it in is the safest choice; it appears in your Seller Center profile. Leaving it empty and having some calls work while others fail is the most confusing state a setup can be in.

Remember to turn the sandbox switch off when going live

The setup includes a test-environment switch, and while it is on every request goes to Walmart's sandbox address. The sandbox sees no real sales: orders do not arrive and stock is not written to real listings. Turning this switch off when moving from testing to production is the easiest step to skip and the quietest in its consequences — there is no error, simply nothing happens.
