What you need to connect Ozon

What does publishing a product on Ozon require?

These are what the Ozon integration actually asks for at the publish step. The list is generated from the integration code.

Category: You pick a category from the marketplace's own tree when creating the product.
Category-specific fields: The form changes with the category you pick, exposing the fields that category requires.
Brand: A brand is not mandatory.
Barcode (GTIN/EAN): A barcode is mandatory; you cannot list without one here.
Image: At least one product image is mandatory.
Variants: Variants are not supported; each one is listed as a separate product.
Result: The request is queued and the outcome is fetched separately, so the listing does not appear immediately.
Updating: A published listing can be updated afterwards.
Removing: Removing a listing is not supported here; it is done from the marketplace's own panel.

What you should know about the Ozon integration

Ozon does not sign its notifications — security rests on a secret address

Most marketplaces sign the notifications they send you, so you can verify that a notification genuinely came from that platform. Ozon does not. So if you use real-time order notifications, a secret token appended to the notification address becomes the only thing security rests on. Filling in the token is optional — but turning on real-time notifications without it means anyone who knows the address could send a fake order notification.

Leaving the token empty and keeping notifications off is a valid choice too; orders are then fetched by periodic polling and this risk never arises.

Warehouse ID, currency and language: know the defaults

Stock updates on Ozon are warehouse-based. Leave the warehouse ID empty and the first warehouse on your account is picked automatically — fine if you work with one warehouse, but with several the stock can be written to the wrong one. The same logic applies to currency: leave it empty and roubles are used, which must match your cabinet setting.

The language of category and attribute responses also has a default, and returns English when left empty. If you want to see category names in Russian while listing products, this field has to be set explicitly.
